The Provincial government has approved the new "400m no shooting areas" regulation along select roads on non-municipal Crown land in the Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD). The no shooting areas apply to recreational shooting and target practice and will not affect licensed hunting or trapping, nor affect First Nations' traditional rights.

This new regulation under the Closed Areas Regulation of the Wildlife Act took effect on April 5, 2017.

Signs are being designed and will be installed on the affected roads as soon as possible.

Maps are being stored on the FVRD website at http://www.fvrd.ca/NoShootingAreas
